The genesis of Earthdance is a story woven through the experiences of its founders and participants…
It all began back in 1996 when Chris Deckker, a visionary musician and event producer from London (known for his work with Medicine Drum and Return To The Source), had an – a vision of a synchronized, multi-location dance party dedicated to peace.
Fast forward to October 4th, 1997 – the inaugural EarthdancePlanetary Dance Party for Peace materialized, with 22 locations across 18 countries rallying in support of Tibet. By 1999, Earthdance had established its headquarters in San Francisco, aligning its mission with the annual United Nations Peace Day and forging partnerships with other global peace initiatives.
In 2001, the Earthdance International non-profit organization was established to oversee the annual charity festival. Then, in 2003, Earthdance Global, a for-profit entity, was formed to expand Earthdance projects throughout the year and provide support for the non-profit organization and its flagship festival.
Among the myriad events worldwide, South Africa proudly hosts three annually on in September.

Sunday Funday Tickets will be available, however we believe the full experience is what Earthdance is all about.
Refund, Re-Sales, and Cancellation Policy:
Refunds will be available via FIXR. You can Re-Sell your ticket prior to the event if you can no longer attend the event, and then safely transfer your ticket via FIXR’s ‘Ticket Transfer’ option.
*Anyone buying a ticket from a private person should only do so if they personally know them (ie: the person is a trustworthy friend or family member)

Please take home, what you bring with you, and dispose of it there. The venue must be respected and treasured as the gift it is. Please treat it as such and keep it clean.
